The Xpedition

Navigating through the rapidsWhitewater Rafting on the world famous River of No Return - Idaho's Salmon River!

Join us for seven days of Kodiak Leadership Training, Whitewater Guide Training, and much more!

What!

75 miles of whitewater and 50 named rapids on Idaho's Salmon River.  A full week of adventure and leadership training.  Fun in the sun, warm water, sandy beaches, good food and great friends.

What is a Kodiak Xpedition?

It’s the basic Kodiak Leadership Skills Course, Kodiak X, all integrated in a real world leadership experience while learning to be a whitewater guide.

When?

Saturday evening, July 10 through Saturday, July 17, 2010.

Where?

Meet in White Bird, Idaho and run the Salmon River through Idaho, to the Snake River in Oregon and on to Heller Bar in SE Washington State.  This is the second deepest canyon in North America.

Why?

This is your chance to take Kodiak Leadership Training in an exciting, meaningful environment!  You will go away with experience as a trained recreational whitewater guide and trained in Kodiak leadership skills.

How?

Come as an individual Venturer or as a Crew.  This trek is hosted by experienced whitewater Venturing Crews from the Seattle and Los Angeles areas.  We are accustomed to large groups and have invested a lot of time and money in order to provide a safe, fun Kodiak experience!

How Much?

This trek is funded on a cost-shared basis.  We will divide up the costs of the trek equally according to our final budget. We are not commercial guides or outfitters, so no one takes compensation from the trip.  All costs must be divided equally.  Our best estimate, and one we will not exceed, is $375 per person for the entire experience.  This is a very small fraction of the cost of a similar commercial whitewater trip.
