IST arrival day is Monday, July 25, 2011.  On April 13, 2011, BSA sent email notifying IST to provide their flight arrival time to the Swedes for transport from the airport to the jamboree site.  As is their habit, BSA does not consider the possibility of arriving before July 25 and did not set up their options for just giving a time without a flight.

There has been some confusion regarding entry points.  The Swedes have listed six, Rinkaby airfield, Copenhagen airport, Malmo airport, Krisianstad railway station and airport and Ahus harbor.  USA IST should understand that BSA has contracted with the Swedes for ONLY Copenhagen airport (CPH).  The other options are not open to USA IST (except maybe showing up on site).

The Fees/Costs page has an estimated breakdown of the cost to be an IST.  One thing in particular IST should remain aware of is that travel to the transportation hub for Jamboree (in Sweden) is strictly the responsibility of the individual IST member.  Travel dates are, therefore, entirely within the control of an individual IST member.  Touring outside of the Jamboree dates is also an individual decision.

The ISTour is going on a canal tour of old Copenhagen at 0930 on 25 July.  We are reporting to the airport at 1600 for transport to the Jamboree.  If you have already told the Swedes an early pick up, don’t worry, you can tell them when you get there you want to go out later and come joing the canal tour.  It will be a great boat ride followed by a leisurely lunch at an historic café in historic Bohemian Copenhagen.  Come join us.

Similar to your arrival plans, you leave Jamboree on Monday, August 8, 2011.  ISTour is taking a guided bicycle tour of historic Copenhagen at 1300.  Anyone with a flight later than 1900 will be able to join the cycling tour.  If you told the Swedes a time to leave the Jamboree for arrival at the airport later than 1000, you can change once you are there and join the cycling tour.
